Introduction
The ReceiptJar User Testing Program (“Program”) is provided by The U Group & Co Limited (ABN 68 610 817 831) (referred to herein as “ReceiptJar,” “we” or “us” or “our'').
These Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”) govern your participation in the Program. By participating in the Program, you agree to comply with these Terms, the ReceiptJar Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from participating.
Purpose
The purpose of the Program is to help us test and improve the ReceiptJar Connect functionality.
ReceiptJar Connect is a feature that securely connects your ReceiptJar account with your online accounts with various service providers and vendors, such as Amazon and Walmart, allowing you to seamlessly and automatically accrue points from your online receipts.
The Program aims to collect user feedback and screen recordings to improve the functionality and user experience when using the ReceiptJar Connect feature of the ReceiptJar mobile application (“App”).
Program Eligibility
Participants must have a registered and active ReceiptJar account without any record of Fraudulent Activity as defined in the Receipt Jar Terms and Conditions.
You must also:
- Have a valid account with one or more ReceiptJar Connect retailers.
- Reside in Australia, Canada or the United States.
Participation Responsibilities
By participating in the Program, you agree to help us test the ReceiptJar Connect connections with retailers (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) by doing the following:
- Submitting at least one valid screen recording (“Qualified Recording”) of your use of ReceiptJar Connect per month.
- Reporting any visible errors or unusual messages while using ReceiptJar Connect.
- Providing occasional written and/or verbal feedback regarding your use of ReceiptJar Connect upon our request.
- Keeping your retailer accounts active and connected through the ReceiptJar Connect feature.
Qualified Recordings are screen recordings that have been submitted through a method we designate that demonstrate:
- The correct retailer being tested (as requested by us);
- The full end to end process from opening the App to ReceiptJar Connect process completion; and
- Any errors that occur within the process.
Participation Rewards
Each Qualified Recording will receive 500 ReceiptJar points.
Points are not under any circumstances transferable between Accounts. Upon confirmation of a Qualified Recording, the points will be credited to your registered ReceiptJar account.
All redemptions of points will be governed by the ReceiptJar Terms and Conditions.
Feedback Use Rights (License)
By participating in the Program, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty‑free and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from and otherwise exploit the Feedback for operating, supporting, analysing, improving and developing our current and future products and services. “Feedback” means any survey responses, comments, ideas, bug reports, diagnostics, logs, usage data, support communications, screen recordings, screenshots and other submissions you provide to us under the Program.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Any Feedback submitted through the Program will only be used internally by our Product and Engineering teams for troubleshooting and feature improvement. To the extent Feedback contains personal information, we agree to process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Feedback from unauthorized disclosure, including implementing access controls. We retain Feedback for as long as needed for the purposes of the Program, then delete or de‑identify it.
Qualified Recordings will not be shared publicly or with third parties.
Termination; Changes to the Program
ReceiptJar reserves the right to suspend, terminate or modify the Program or terminate your participation in the Program at any time in our discretion. If we terminate your participation in the Program, we will notify you.
Program Users may withdraw from the Program at any time by contacting us at hello@receiptjar.com.
Limitation of Liability
ReceiptJar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Program. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Program will not exceed the greater of AUD $150 or the reasonable value of points credited to you under the Program during the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
Unless otherwise noted, these Terms are governed by the law of Western Australia, and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia in the event of a dispute regarding these Terms.
Nothing in this clause: (a) prevents us from commencing proceedings in any jurisdiction we consider convenient to enforce our rights and protect our interests; or (b) entitles you to object to the jurisdiction of an otherwise competent court in relation to any such proceedings.
Changes to these Terms
Subject to any notice obligations under applicable law, we reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time upon provision of no less than 30 days’ notice to you by posting changes on the ReceiptJar website at https://receiptjar.com or by updating the App to incorporate the new Terms. All revisions are effective immediately when we post them.
We recommend that you check these Terms periodically so you are aware of any changes, as they are binding on you. If you do not agree to these Terms or any changes to them, you should immediately cease participating in the Program. Your continued Program participation following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
Acceptance
By participating in the User Testing Program, you confirm your acceptance of these Terms.
